Infor’s former Vice President to drive PROCAD’s evolution towards becoming a digitalization partner to product-centric companies.
Karlsruhe, August 12, 2020. Since July 2020, Gerhard Knoch has been responsible for the future corporate strategy of PROCAD GmbH & Co. KG. During his 20-year tenure at Infor, the US-based ERP powerhouse, he served in various leadership positions, most recently as Vice President Central Europe. The Karlsruhe native brings with him a wealth of experience in ERP/PLM/SCM with an extensive focus on the manufacturing industry. This makes him the perfect fit to further expand on PROCAD’s strategic positioning as a partner to mid-market and large companies looking to leverage a PLM platform for integrated information management to meet the challenges posed by digitalization, IoT, and Industry 4.0.
With this latest addition, PROCAD’s new management trio now consists of company founder Volker Wawer, Johann Dornbach, who in 2019 left SAP to join the PLM vendor, and Gerhard Knoch. Knoch has an advanced degree in industrial engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and with the experience gained during his years at Infor, he is well-versed in the complex interplay between ERP, PLM, and SCM. Drawing from the knowledge accumulated over his years working for the world’s third-largest provider of enterprise applications, Gerhard Knoch is an expert in transformation strategies to accelerate the shift from on-premises to the cloud and has extensive experience in international sales. PROCAD has an already strong international business presence in place and has only recently entered a cooperation with OmniDTS, LLC, establishing a solid foothold to strengthen the positioning of its PRO.FILE PLM/DMStec applications and solutions for the digital transformation on the North American market.
