Wednesday, September 27 2017

Karlsruhe, September 27, 2017. The latest version 8.7 of PRO.FILE comes with comprehensive PDM/PLM functionality for AutoCAD 2018, AutoCAD Mechanical 2018, Inventor 2018, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, and Autodesk Electrical.
By adapting to the latest releases coming from Autodesk, PROCAD is expanding its integration to include the AutoCAD series, giving its customers access to professional product and document lifecycle management. A consistent and enterprise-wide product data backbone, which PRO.FILE delivers, is the key to digitalization in engineering.
With the new Inventor integrations, PRO.FILE also supports the inclusion of CAD models from third-party CAD systems. This means companies can now not only identify third-party data in the CAD models of their Inventor assemblies in the CAD system itself, but also on the product data management level.
The current releases yet again underline PROCAD’s long-term commitment as a maker of PDM/PLM for AutoCAD and Inventor users. Users of the discontinued PDM solution Productstream Professional (PSP) will find that PRO.FILE has everything they need to effectively manage their data over the long term, and to do so in line with the requirements of the mechanical and plant engineering industries. As a multi-CAD solution, PRO.FILE also features interfaces to all major 3D CAD, electrical CAD, and electronic CAD systems.
