Karlsruhe, September 21, 2017. The product and document lifecycle management experts at PROCAD released the latest version of their PROOM document exchange platform. It now comes with improved and enhanced interfaces with the Microsoft Office environment.

Users can now, for example, jump straight to the corresponding Microsoft Office program from within PROOM to edit a file and save the new version back to the appropriate project room. The new release of the industry solution for the exchange of technical companies also includes optimizations of existing features.

With the new features, PROCAD strengthens PROOM’s position as a file exchange platform designed for the needs of technical companies. PROOM replaces traditional email and FTP solutions with modern virtual project rooms and lets customers choose between an SaaS version and a private cloud solution that can be deployed on their own servers. PROOM seeks to completely eliminate the sending of relevant files as email attachments and to replace it with a controlled, confidential and transparent means of sharing files.
