PROCAD came to Frankfurt/Main to deliver insights on how mid-sized enterprises in the mechanical and plant engineering sector can leverage PLM systems to embrace digitalization.

Karlsruhe, June 14, 2018: The future of product data is digital. Revolving around this tagline, the fully-booked PROCAD Impulse and User Days held between June 5 and 6 featured keynotes, presentations, breakout sessions, and meet-the-expert talks. At the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt, the PLM software maker PROCAD provided answers and recommendations on digitalization strategies with product and document lifecycle management.

Keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Gunter Dueck pointed out that digitalization has been around for twenty years, but it is only now that it is starting to show in companies’ business models. With its PLM software, PROCAD is paving the way for concrete measures to implement digitalization strategies in the mechanical and plant engineering sectors. At the Steigenberger Airport Hotel, new and long-term PROCAD customers gathered to engage in the exchange of experiences on their PDM and PLM solutions and to systematically expand their knowledge about how they use PRO.FILE through presentations and at the meet-the-experts booths. In the Partner Lounge, partners talked about their PRO.FILE-driven solutions.

While the first Impulse Day was dedicated to digitalization strategies, the User Day that followed was all about the applications and new features of the PRO.FILE, PRO.CEED and PROOM PLM software solutions and how they can power product creation processes, product management, and cloud-based document collaboration.

The upcoming product generation PRO.FILE next will allow companies to model their digital business processes using a cutting-edge, cloud-enabled platform. PRO.FILE next as the Product Data Backbone is a central element of the digitalization strategy for technology-intensive SMBs, particularly in the mechanical and plant engineering sectors. In Frankfurt, PROCAD’s developers offered deep insights into the latest version and how it will transform the way designers, production teams, purchasers, sales professionals, and marketers work. Other topics that drew large crowds during these Impulse and User Days included reuse and standardization, document control in technical companies, and the new AppServer. The PROCAD Truck also stopped by at the airport and was filled to capacity for every single session.
