Access Information Management Acquires American File Safe

Access Information Management announced today that it has acquired American FileSafe (AFS) based in Moorpark, California. AFS provides off-site records management, media vault protection and mobile shredding services. The acquisition expands Access’ service capabilities and a footprint in every major county in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Access now has records centers in Orange, Los Angeles and Ventura County.

“American FileSafe has a great reputation of both reliability and professionalism; this is a great fit for Access,” stated Access, CEO Dennis Barnedt.

Mickey Belt, President of AFS has joined Access as Vice President and General Manager for all of Southern California.

AFS is the seventh acquisition made by Access. This acquisition helps Access continue it regional expansion and service offering to clients within the Western United States.
